Obituaries

David Prillaman, 95, of Martinsville, VA passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Sovah Health-Martinsville. He was born August 27, 1928 in Martinsville, VA to the late George David Prillaman and Annie Bell Richardson Prillaman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ivanelle Winchester Prillaman; daughter, Delores Scott; and longtime bookkeeper and friend, Faye Lawrence Morley.

He is survived by his son, Curtis Prillaman and wife, Dana; son-in-law, Eddie Scott; grandchildren, Tammy Boyd and Valerie Scott Wells; and great-grandchildren, Kobe Boyd and Annie Wells. Also surviving are his special family, Tim, Pam, and Stephanie Joyce, Bill and Terri Fowler; and special friend and bookkeeper, Gail Smith.

Mr. Prillaman was a member of Chatham Heights Church of Christ and the Virginia Old Timers Racers Club. He was owner/operator of People’s Save Station, Inc.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville, VA with Eric Bridge and John Berlin officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral at Roselawn Burial Park.
