Obituaries

Frances Gail Barnes, 49, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born July 13, 1974, in Eden, North Carolina, to the late Donald Barnes and Sandra Kay Mitchell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Emily Fallin; and brother, Barry Barnes.

Frances was of the Christian faith. She loved bingo, poker, and her children and grandchildren. She also liked the casinos.

She is survived by her daughters, Brittany Pope (Justin), Tori Fallin (Adam), Ashley Fallin, and Alley Johnson; daddy, John Weadon; sisters, Ann Wray and Wendy Doss; brother, Gary Barnes; grandchildren, Logan Pope, Bentley Lockridge, Hailey Pope, Kinsleigh Ashley, and Oaklynn Ashley.

The funeral will be Friday, December 1, 2023, at 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Marty Furrow officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. The family will also receive friends at other times at 17777 A.L. Philpott Highway, Ridgeway, Virginia 24148.
