Obituaries

Granville Thomas “Tee” Bondurant, 84, of Ridgeway, VA passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023. He was born March 13, 1939, in Franklin County, VA to the late Andrew Jackson Bondurant and Bertha Minnix Bondurant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Emmie Lee Gagne, and his brother, Bobby Joe Bondurant.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Bondurant of the home; daughter Leigh Anne Hammond (Walt) of Summerfield, NC; son, Joshua Thomas Bondurant (Jamie) of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Amelia Hammond, Grace Hammond, Kate Bondurant, and Andrew Bondurant. Also surviving is a sister, Betty Lou Mitchell of Snow Creek, VA and brother, Andrew Jackson Bondurant, Jr. of Alexandria, VA.

Mr. Bondurant was a member of Old Well Christian Church where he served as a Deacon and Treasurer for thirty-five years. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and retired from E. I. DuPont. Tee was a quiet family man. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly and enjoyed spending time with them at Smith Mountain Lake. G.T. had a love for Ford cars, trucks and Nascar.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Old Well Christian Church with Pastor Tim Mills and Roy Parker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Old Well Christian Church Cemetery.
