Obituaries

Harry Ray Grubb, 78, of Ringgold, Virginia, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, at Martinsville Health and Rehab. He was born March 20, 1945, in Danville, Virginia, to the late Charles M. Grubb and Lizzie Ellen Payne Grubb.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Marvin Grubb, and Lucy Dunn Grubb; maternal grandparents, Otis Meade Payne, and Ora Wells Payne, and step grandmother Argene Harris Payne; and step grandson, Nathan Collins.

He was of the Baptist faith. In his free time, he loved spending time at the river and fishing. He loved hunting for arrowheads. He also loved children and going on adventures. He was a great man who enjoyed having a great time, had a big heart, and gave you everything he had. He loved his dog Bella dearly. He was a huge fan and loved to watch football and NASCAR.

Harry is survived by his son, Robert “Robbie” Charles Grubb (Jennifer Barts); stepson, Brian Collins (Suzanne); sister, Linda Davis (Danny); brother, Charles Wayne Grubb; grandchildren Cheyanne Grubb, Autumn Grubb, Johanna Grubb, and Caleb Grubb; step grandchildren, Briana Collins, and Heather Collins, and one great step grandchild, Gia.
