Howard “Dean” Vaughn, age 82 of Fieldale, VA passed away on December 26, 2023 after a decline in health.

Dean was born on December 10, 1941 to the late June Vaughn and the late Bessie Ferguson Vaughn. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Hazel Mitchell Vaughn. Dean was a retired Construction Contractor. He served in the U.S. Army.

Dean is survived by one daughter, Kristen Metty (Bob), one son, Mitch Vaughn (Rachel), five granddaughters, Kayla Christopher (Jason), Kara Metty, Klaire Metty, Kacey Metty and Kailynn Parks. One grandson, Trey Metty and two great grandsons, Jake and Ethan Christopher. One brother, Mike Vaughn (Gloria).

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home is in charge.
