Obituaries

Hughes (Reggie) Fulcher, age 89, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away, Monday, November 27, at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.

He was born Nov. 16, 1934, to William Grant Fulcher and Theora G. Fulcher. He was preceded in death by brothers Ennis and James Fulcher, and sisters Mae Brammer and Alice Divers.

Mr. Fulcher is survived by his wife of 70 years, Janet Shively Fulcher, and daughters Dianne Pace (Mike) and Susan Nelson. Also surviving are grandchildren Erica Nelson (Stacy), Jonathan Pace (Lindsey), and Daniel Nelson (Nicole). Two great grandchildren, Kensington and Sloane Nelson, put an extra big smile on his face.

He was an active member of Smith Memorial United Methodist Church and a lifetime member of the Collinsville Volunteer Fire Department. He worked in the automobile industry, and upon retirement, spent 15 years driving a tour bus.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Collins-McKee-Stone in Bassett, VA, with Rev. Ryan Ware officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
