Obituaries

James Edward Douglas, Jr., 59, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022, at SOVAH Health in Danville. He was born February 7, 1963, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to James Edward Douglas, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Robinson. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Malik Douglas; and sister, Justina Williams.

He had been a General Contractor for over twenty years.

James is survived by his daughters, Atiya Douglas, Raven Douglas and Shante Dandridge; son, James Douglas, III; sister, Jennifer Robinson; brothers, Joseph Robinson and Jerold Douglas; and seven grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, December 30, 2022, at 12:30 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will be private.
