James Perry Lankford, 80, of Willis, Virginia passed away in Stuart, Virginia on November 13,
2023.

He was born in Richlands, Virginia on December 14, 1942, to Roy and Pauline Lankford.

He was of Christian faith and served as a song director in church for over 40 years throughout his
life. James is survived by his wife of 55 years: Katie Diane “Ann” Lankford of Willis, Virginia;
daughter, Lorrie (Matt) Harrison of Willis, Virginia; daughter Alisa (Charles) Lester of Patrick
Springs, Virginia; daughter, Teresa (Donald) Blackard of Stuart, Virginia; Grandson, Colby
Harrison of Willis, Virginia; and special nieces; Tammy Welch, Sharon Morris, and Paula
VanNorman of Florida, other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Roy and Pauline Lankford of Dade City, Florida; his
brother, Curtis Lankford of Zephyrhills, Florida; brother, Raymond Lankford of Lakeland, Florida;
sister, Patricia Lankford of Dade City, Florida; Sister-in-Law, Naomi Lankford of Dade City,
Florida; Sister-in-Law, Linda Lankford of Lakeland, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 17, 2023, at Unity Baptist Church,
452 Nettle Ridge Loop, Stuart, Virginia, with Director Kelly Ratcliff Officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before services.

Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home and Burial Park are entrusted with arrangements.
