Jeremiah Lee Davis passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022.

Born July 27, 1951 to the late Harvey Wilson Davis and Frances Jewell Davis. Also proceeded in death by a brother, James Steven Davis and brother-in-law, Charles “Tony” Hodge.

Survived by his wife, Sandy Hodge Davis, and two daughters, Sarah Jean Davis (Nathan Zaborowski) and Sydney Jewell Davis. Also, one granddaughter, Tatum Zaborowski.

Also survived by father-in-law, Neil Hodge, brother-in-law (Angie), Dan Barrow (Tanya), sisters-in-law, Pam Ramsey (Billy), Judy Wachsmann (Otto) as well as Stacie Ward (Glenn) and Greg Marshall (Sara).

Jeremiah loved life! He loved fishing. Didn’t matter where! He loved music. He was a very talented pianist and played in several bands during his life. He loved to read, and was an excellent storyteller. But mostly he loved his family.

He loved his many positions with Lowes Companies from Warehouse Manager in the Martinsville store, to Regional Staff, and Store Manager in Maryland before he requested a transfer back home to spend more time with family. He retired from Lowes Home Improvement with nearly 30 years service in 1994. Being a Davis, construction was in his blood. After retirement, he worked for Mod-U-Kraf Homes and Clayton Homes. When Jeremiah built something, you knew it would last! He was very detail oriented and never cut corners! His creative and loving personality will be honored and deeply missed by his family and loved ones.

A service honoring his life will be held on Monday, December 26, with Pastor Don Reynolds officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00am at Wright Funeral Services in Martinsville VA, with service to follow at 11:30.
