Obituary For Julie Ann Hundley

Julie Ann Hundley, 45, of Collinsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024. She was born August 16, 1979, in Martinsville, Virginia to John Marshall Merriman and Teresa Keen Sartin (Wes).

Julie was of the Christian Faith and was a graduate of Laurel Park High School Class of 1998. She was a dedicated employee for over six years at Subway of Ridgeway, Virginia where she enjoyed her position as a sandwich artist. She had a smile that could light up a room with a personality to match. Julie had a beautiful soul and touched the hearts of everyone she met in a positive way. She was a very loving and proud mother of Miss Brooklyn, “Mama’s Monkey”. Julie was very creative and loved to craft. She loved nature and being outside; she loved to write poetry and kept a notebook to share with others. Julie loved living a simple life, keeping friends and family near and dear.

In addition to her parents she is survived by James Wells, of the home, father of Julie’s daughter, Brooklyn Mia Merriman; husband, Ernest Jerry Hundley, Jr., not of the home; daughter, Brooklyn Mia Merriman; sister, Crystal Gail Keen; brother, Zack Sartin; niece, Kristen Hairston; nephews, Austin Turner and Brady Gayle; uncle, Joe Merriman and numerous cousins, extended family and friends.

All services will be private.
