Junior Lee Jackson, 78, of Axton, VA passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at his residence. He was born on February 12, 1944, in Virginia to the late Ervin Washington Jackson and Myrtle Oquinn Jackson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Nora Mitchell Jackson and his second wife, Shirley Marie Jackson, and brother, Sammy Jackson.

Mr. Jackson served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war.

He is survived by his daughter, Mekesha Jackson Baldwin (Dean); stepson, Michael Pless (Shelia); siblings, Mildred Dawson, Betty Sue Keen, Jerry Jackson, Eddie Jackson, Brenda Day, Donna Morrell, and Debbie Jackson. Also surviving are numerous step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2022, with Pastor Lee Ashley officiating at Norris Funeral Services. Burial will follow the service at Roselawn Burial Park.
