Obituaries

Kathy Dianne Glidewell, 69, of Axton, Virginia, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. She was born October 26, 1953, in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, to the late William Garland Hedrick and Jenny Smith Hedrick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Glidewell, Jr.; and sister, Janet Wyatt.

She was a dietary aide for Blue Ridge Nursing Home, was a member of Woodman of the World, and loved puzzles and reading.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandy Carter (Raymond); brother, William Carlton Hedrick; several nieces and nephews; and grand fur babies, Percy, Pepper and Gracie.

The Memorial Service will be Friday, December 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at Fairway Baptist Church, Bassett, Virginia with Pastor Kirk Montgomery officiating.
