Kenneth Lee Davis, 80, of Axton, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023. He was born January 16, 1943, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Clifton Francis Davis and Ella Griggs Davis Nance.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Rebecca Davis, and June Hollandsworth; great granddaughter, Ada Davis; and daughter-in-law, Whitney Hawker.

Kenneth was a Deacon of Greenwood Baptist Church, Axton, Virginia, where he was also song leader years ago. He enjoyed working, fishing, and playing internet games with his grandkids. He absolutely loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and would give the shirt off his back to anyone.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nellie Marie Davis; son, Dale Wayne Davis (Shirley); sisters, Sharon Nance, and Robin Shropshire; brother, Jesse Nance; grandchildren, Matthew Davis (JoLacy), Nathan Hawker, and Madison Hawker; great grandchildren, Caroline Davis, Bentlee Davis, and Ava Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Friday, December 22, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor George Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Hankins Family Cemetery 318 Hairfield Lane, Axton, Virginia 24054. Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 5:30 PM 7:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
