Laura Ann Foley Carter, 44, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. She was born on October 3, 1979, in Roanoke, Virginia, to the late Gary Foley and Teresa Bennett Carson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Damien Bennett and Sean Foley.

Laura loved writing poetry, making jewelry, gardening, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

Laura is survived by her husband, Daniel B. Carter; son, Landon Carter; stepmother, Patricia Foley; stepfather, Jeremy Carson; and a host of other family and friends.

Her loving and kind spirit will be missed by everyone who met her.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
