Obituaries

Lora Pendleton Wall, 94, of Danville, Va. passed away Monday, May 5, 2025. She was born in Woolwine, Va., March 14, 1931, to Buren Clyde Pendleton and Dorothy Boyd Pendleton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Wall in 2020, sisters, Violet Lyon, Vivian Carter, Nannie Lou Kessler and Carrie Lee Young.

She is survived by her son, Dave Clinton Wall (Mary Lee); grandson, Matthew Wall (Cortney); granddaughter, Mary Katherine Campbell; great granddaughters, Olivia and Meredith Wall, and two sisters, Laura Ferguson and Thelma Young.

Lora was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Axton, Va. She enjoyed reading the Bible, sketching and working in her yard.

A graveside service will held at Roselawn Burial Park at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 9, 2025 and will be officiated by the Reverend J.B. Baldridge. The family will receive friends at the gravesite prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Cardinal Senior Living for their compassion and loving care given to Lora over the past few years. We also greatly appreciate her caregivers at home, Christie Warren and Megan Jones who always went above and beyond to care for Lora and make sure she was happy.
