Obituaries

Margaret Mize Sharpe, 68, of Bassett, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at her home. She was born on May 10, 1954 in Martinsville to the late Clinton Mize and to the late Bertha Mize. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Sharpe. She was a member of Spring Street Baptist Church.

Margaret is survived by step-daughter, Shelia Krueger; step-son, Marshall David Sharpe; grandchildren, Maddie and Julian; sisters, Eva Greer (Harold) and Cathy Hylton (Guy); special parrot “Gus”; several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a graveside service at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at County Line Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery with Pastor Nick McCorquodale officiating. Burial will follow the service.
