Marianne Bridegroom Kennedy, 81, of Bassett passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 18, 1941, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Kenneth Bridegroom and Anna Bradkte Bridegroom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands Rudy Damron Sr. and James Kennedy; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Damron Wilborn.

Marianne was affectionately known as “MEE-MAW”. She helped care for and raise many children throughout the years for many families.

Marianne is survived by her children, Rudy Damron Jr. (Jennifer) of the home; a daughter, Jana Mountz (Kenneth Sr.) of Lewistown, PA; stepson, Thomas Damron (Barbara) of Farmville, VA; a brother, Kenneth Bridegroom (Vivian) of Destin Fl; 13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. The Celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 pm. The family will announce when further arrangements are scheduled to take place for burial.
