Norma June Boyd, 91, of Collinsville, Va., passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2023, in Richmond with her family by her side. She was born July 13, 1931, in West Virginia, to the late Luther W. Gartin and Ina Hale Gartin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Boyd; sisters, Naola Hale, Naida Spiller, Willa Kazee.

Norma June Boyd was a member of Mercy Crossing Church. She cherished the time she spent with her beloved family and friends and will be greatly missed.

Norma June Boyd is survived by her son, Larry W. Boyd (Mary); Daughter, Donna B. Waleski (Art); three grandchildren, John Michael Rodgers (Tasha), Kerri Beth Rodgers Ludeman (Joe), Alex Waleski (Rachel); five great-grandchildren: Isaac Rodgers, Caleb Rodgers, Aaron Rodgers, Brody Waleski, and Kai Waleski; one sister, Janice Bailey; as well nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 10:00AM to 11:00AM on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM with Pastor Jimmy Wood presiding. The burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Mercy Crossing Pentecostal Church at 1978 Joseph Martin Hwy, Martinsville, Va. 24112.
