Obituaries

Peggy Scott Santuk, 81, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023. She was born April 18, 1942, in Martinsville, to the late Thomas N. Scott and Sadie Amos.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughters-in-law, Julie Ann Santuk, and Lisa Scott; and sister, Velvet Bowman.

Peggy was a member of Fort Trial Christian Church and was a graduate of Martinsville High School. She was a member of the Amvets Post 35 Ladies Auxiliary, and retired from Fieldcrest Mills after 38 years of service.

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward F. Santuk; daughter, Julie Ann Lacy; sons, Richard Scott and Randolph Scott; stepson, Ed Santuk, Jr.; sisters, Nancy Rorrer and Lula Belle Boyd; and grandchildren, Davis Scott, Edward Santuk III, Evan Santuk, Kaitlyn Lacy, and Jordan Lacy.

The funeral will be Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Sammy Caldwell officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
