Obituaries

Regina G. Taber, 44, of Axton, Va., passed away peacefully on December 20, 2022, at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart, Va. She was born on September 4, 1978, in Martinsville, Virginia to Deborah Haskins and the late Rodney D. Smith Sr., but from a young age was raised by the late Charles Daniel Martin “Donnie”. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Fannie Belle and Carl Carr.

Regina was a member of Morgan Ford Christian Church in Ridgeway, Va. She graduated from Magna Vista in 1996. She was a CNA at Britthaven for many years, she then became disabled and became a housewife. She was also known for working at Fast Mart in Martinsville, Va. She was a loving mother of three children.

Regina is survived by her husband, Jon Taber (Axton, Va.), two sons, Jason Adkins II and Hunter Taber, a daughter, Ava Taber, her mother and stepfather, Deborah and Keith Haskins (Stuart, Va.), two brothers, Skip and Susan Smith (Ridgeway, Va.), Carl and Amber Smith (Stuart, Va.), her aunt, Angie woods (Collinsville, Va.). The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
