Obituaries

Roger Allen Waldron, Sr., 75, of Bassett, Va., died on November 29, 2022 at Sovah Health in Martinsville, Va. He was born May 16, 1947, in Russellville, W. Va., to the late Theodore and Viola Waldron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Allen Waldron, Jr.

Roger loved and cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Roger is survived by the mother of his children, Beverly Mayberry of Christiansburg, Va., his daughter, Teresa Waldron of Bassett, Va., and his son, Michael Waldron of Christiansburg, Va. He is also survived by four grandchildren: Melissa Hagy of Ghent, W. Va., Jessica Waldron of Orlando, Fla., Savannah Waldron of Tampa, Fla., and Bryce Waldron of Christiansburg, Va.; one great-granddaughter, Carlea Rae Tuck, of Ghent W. Va., two daughters-in-law, Autumn Waldron of Fairlawn, Va., and Stephanie Waldron of Chritiansburg, Va., one grand son-in-law, Shannon Tuck of Ghent, W. Va., one grand daughter-in-law, Heather Leuba Waldron, of Orlando, Fla., and one adopted son, Jayme Kapalka, of Calabash, N.C.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2022 from 4:00pm to 5:00pm in the Bassett Funeral Service chapel. All other services will be private.

The family extends a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses of the CCU of Sovah Health, Martinsville for their excellent care of Roger.
