Obituaries

Steven Renay Eggleston, 62, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at his home. He was born May 5, 1961, in Martinsville, to Alphanzo Stockton and Delois Eggleston Waller.

Steven was a long time member of Shiloh Way of the Cross Church, had currently attended Galilean House of Worship, and was baptized at Morning Star Holiness Church in Martinsville. He had been employed as a CNA at Edwards Adult Day Care, and a Caregiver for Piedmont Community Services for ten years. He enjoyed singing at church, and had served as an usher.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Elvea Waller and Kristi Stockton; brothers, Nealious Waller and Sean Kevin Stockton; and a special aunt and caregiver, Ann Eggleston.

The funeral will be Monday, December 18, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Morning Star Holy Church, 2839 Stoney Mountain Road, Martinsville, with visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Eggleston Family Cemetery, 1973 Stoney Mountain Road, Martinsville. A Floating Visitation will be on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 1:30 to 4:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, 1425 Greensboro Road, Martinsville.
