Obituaries

Suzanne Richardson Moore, 51, of Henry, VA passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at Franklin Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on December 12, 1973, in Virginia to Alice Burnette Gourley and the late Joseph Logan Richardson.

She was a member of Pleasant Hill Church and was a schoolteacher at Rocky Mount Elementary School, Henry Elementary School and Ferrum Elementary School.

Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Sherman Moore; stepdaughter, Nicole Moore; brother, Logan Richardson; niece, Dr. Anna Richardson Rothschild and her husband, Dr. Andrew Rothschild; and many family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Church. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Church with Pastors Tim Wilson and Henry Butler officiating. The burial will be held at Burnette Family Cemetery in Ferrum, VA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasant Hill Church or for benches at Ferrum Elementary School, 90 Sherwood Lane, Rocky Mount, VA 24151.
