Obituaries

Thomas Roberts, 81, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024. He was born March 25, 1942, in Virginia, to the late James Lamuel Roberts and Clara Virginia (George) Roberts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Ann (Harris) Roberts, a daughter; Carolyn Marie Roberts; son; Tommy Ray Roberts; sisters, Anna Roberts Massey Dorothy Roberts Hairfield; brothers; James B. Roberts, and Drewry Roberts.

Thomas was a man of faith who loved the Lord and spent time reading his Bible and sharing scriptures with others. He loved his family and grandchildren “The Chaps”. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and counting airplanes in the sky with his grandchildren. He also liked lottery scratch tickets.

He is survived by a son; Harold Roberts (Crystal), sisters; Vella Mae Roberts Benson and Mary Roberts Bennett; brothers, Wayne Roberts and Sam Roberts; grandchildren, Bobby Parnell (Megan), Brad Parnell (Loren), Samantha Thacker (Nick), April Robinette (Josh), Blake Parnell, Thomas Roberts, Kevin Farmer, Khloe Roberts; and nineteen great grandchildren.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
