Thomas “Tom” Parker Penn, 75, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his residence. He was born July 27, 1948 in Fieldale, Virginia, to the late Douglas Penn and Martha Parker Penn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Addie Thorpe, Hilda France, Marian Smith and Janis Gravely; and brothers, Daniel, Frederick, James, and Alvin Penn.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force; and was a member of New Bethel Christian Church Disciples of Christ. He was a college graduate and had been employed as a Funeral Director. He enjoyed reading, watching westerns, and singing. He was Associate Minister at his church and had a great knowledge of the Bible, having read it through many times.

Tom is survived by his wife, Mary King Penn; brother, William Penn; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be Monday, December 11, 2023, at 11:30 AM, at New Bethel Christian Church Disciples of Christ, 9 Brandermill Drive, Fieldale, VA with Rev. Charles Whitfield officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will be private.
