Obituaries

William Jonathan Wilkins “Jon”, 57, of Ridgeway, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2024. He was born on November 20,1966, in Morehead City, North Carolina, to the late Marvin Wilkins and Avis Lynell Wilkins Cauley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymie Cauley.

Jon was a dedicated Land Surveyor for multiple companies for the past 40 years, the most recent being Hugh Creed Associates. He was a big fan of NASCAR racing, loved playing with his dogs, and was very interested in Patriotism. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret “Leonne” Wilkins; daughter, Jillian Wilkins (Andrew); stepdaughter, Adrienne Brady; stepson, Matthew Lester; brothers, Maurice Cauley & Mark Cauley; step grandchildren, Levi & Declan Brady; nieces, Jordan Cauley, Jamie Dabner (Alex); nephew, Jake Cauley (Paula), numerous great nieces, nephews, close friends; and his precious dogs, Chloe, and Cain.

The memorial service will be Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Rich Acres Christian Church, 422 Mountain View Road, Martinsville, Virginia 24112, with Pastor Tim Hunt and Bonnie Lee Witt officiating. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Once the service has concluded, family and friends are welcome to join the family in the fellowship hall for a meal.
