Ella Bleu Travolta releases song in tribute to late mom Kelly Preston
Kelly Preston, the late wife of John Travolta and the mother of their children, Ella Bleu, Benjamin and the late Jett, is memorialized in a new single and music video from her daughter.
According to Ella Bleu’s reps, “Little bird” is a “deeply personal tribute” to the actress, who died of breast cancer at 57 in 2020.
Both the song and the video, which is made up of home video snippets and snapshots of Ella and her family over the years, “captures the tender bond she shared with her mother and honors the profound impact Kelly had on her life.”
The 24-year-old’s song, which is available for download on streaming platforms, is described as “a journey of finding yourself as a young person growing up in the public eye” and “a moving expression of love, loss, and remembrance.”
Only Murders in the Building season 4 is heading to Hollywood.
On Tuesday, the trailer for the upcoming season of the Emmy-winning Hulu series arrived, featuring Mabel (Selena Gomez), Charles (Steve Martin) and Oliver (Martin Short) in the City of Angels, where a Hollywood studio is “readying a film about the ‘Only Murders’ podcast,” according to the synopsis for the upcoming season.
The trailer opens with the podcasters reading a script for the film and then finding themselves in a room full of studio executives — including one played by Molly Shannon — introducing the film’s cast, which features Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria and Zach Galifianakis.
Mabel, Charles and Oliver then find themselves being shadowed by the three stars, who want to do a “character study” on each of them as they prepare for the film.
But things take a turn in the trailer when Charles’ stunt double, Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), ends up dead in what appears to be the Arconia.
“There’s been another murder,” Gomez says in one clip.
“As our amateur sleuths race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey — traversing their building’s courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents,” the synopsis states.
The season 4 star-studded cast also includes Michael Cyril Creighton, Meryl Streep, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani and Da’Vine Joy Randolph.
Only Murders in the Building season 4 arrives Aug. 27. New episodes will stream on Tuesdays.
The Traitors won the Emmy for Outstanding Reality Competition Program at Sunday night’s 76th Emmy Awards.
The Traitors host Alan Cumming took to the stage, wearing a multi tartan kilt to accept the honor, where he thanked the show’s passionate fans and the television academy.
“Thank you to the academy. We are so grateful because we are a new show, and you guys, you know when you like something, you tend to stick to it, which is good quality, but we appreciate it all the more,” Cumming said.
With this win, The Traitors earned Peacock’s first-ever top program win at the Emmys.
Cumming also thanked Peacock for their kindness and support. “It’s so great to be part of a new streaming service. We love them,” Cumming said.
Colin Jost has shared a news report/update about the foot he injured as a “surfing correspondent” for NBC during the Olympics.
He also shared texts from his friends, who evidently half-read the headlines about his situation and texted their concern. “Dude, are you OK?” began one. “Heard ur foot fell off.”
“I’m actually fine,” Colin said, “despite what Big Media conspiracies would have you believe, I wasn’t sent home from the Olympics. NBC simply looked at my foot, declared me legally a leper, and exiled me here: The Island of Malta.”
Jost scraped his foot on a coral reef, and the wound got infected. He then suffered an ear infection before leaving the Games.
He said, “Now Malta doesn’t have many Olympians competing this year. But it does have thousands of 15-year-old British kids competing to see who can black out the fastest. And somehow, they’re all winning.”
He continued, “But the real reason I’m in Malta of course is because it was the site of 10 separate bubonic plague outbreaks, so they thought I would fit right in.”
Jost said he caught NBC’s coverage of the Olympics on Peacock and still covered the surfing event’s big winners.
He also thanked the people of Tahiti for their warmth and hospitality and for “only occasionally looking at my foot and whispering ‘Chupacabra!'”
Jost said he foot is “pretty much totally fine,” but declined showing it off. As a proof “I’m still alive,” he showed off today’s paper, which read, “O.J. Simpson Found Not Guilty.”
He signed off: “I’ll see you at the next Olympics in Los Angeles, where they have me reporting from Catalina Island.”
