Obituaries

Donald Ray Stevenson, 60, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025. He was born February 12, 1964, in Stuart, Virginia, to the late George Kenneth Stevenson Sr. and Pearlie Ellen Marrs Stevenson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Georgia Sebastian.

Donald was a man who always lived life to the fullest. He could often be found riding around the community and enjoying the little things in life. He lived a full life, keeping busy with projects that brought him happiness. You could find him watching Westerns or wrestling on television in his free time. Going fishing was a favorite pastime, but spending time with his family brought him his greatest joy.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Stevenson; son, Donald Stevenson Jr. (Taylor); sisters, Judy Harrison (Dale), Mary Durham (David), Barbara Durham (Frankie), Pat Stevenson (Heather); brothers, George “Kenny” Stevenson Jr., Brad Stevenson (Ginger); grandchild, Isiah Gardner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Wright Funeral Service with Pastor Dave Boarman officiating.
