Obituaries

Edwin Harrison Lovell, 82, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. He was born on April 12, 1942, to the late Joseph Edwin Lovell and Eldean Merritt Lovell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Gloria Craddock and Rose Daniels.

Mr. Lovell had a love for the outdoors and loved to cook. A jack of all trades, known for his ability to fix just about anything and a willingness to help in any way he could, he worked with his father in their plumbing business for many years. Following that, he was self-employed as an electrician / plumber / carpenter. He also worked at West Piedmont Human Resources as a vocational education instructor and at Peverall Supply Company, building and installing custom cabinets.

Edwin leaves behind his longtime companion, “Pat” Wells; “stepdaughter”, Donna Martin; nephews, Jay Craddock (Jennifer) and Charles Craddock (Amy); niece, Karen Pence (Jim); and “step-grandchildren”, Garrette, Abigail, Sophia, and Maya Martin.

There will be a visitation on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Norris Funeral Services. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at the Lovell Family Cemetery, across from Mount Olivet Christian Church, at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor David Deisher officiating.
