Obituaries

Michael Paul Weaver, 72, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday, December 14, 2024. He was born on February 2, 1952, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He was born to his father and mother, Hazel Myers Weaver.

A dedicated automotive repairman throughout his life, Michael had a deep passion for classic antique cars. He also cherished fishing and treasured the time spent sitting on the porch watching the birds.

He is survived by his loving life partner, Evonne Chitty; his stepchildren, Diane Stone Foley (Chris), Tammy Stone Cobbler (Mark), and Billy Stone (Jean); his special grandsons, Timothy Rogers and Jonathan “Bubba” Mayes; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

All services will be private.
