Meadows of Dan’s Primland Resort has committed to support Patrick & Henry Community College’s (P&HCC) Patrick Promise with a donation of $10,000.00 to future PCHS graduates.
“Primland is happy to invest in Patrick County youth by donating to Patrick County Education Foundation for the Patrick Promise initiative. For our PCHS seniors to be able to get an Associates degree at no cost is outstanding. Primland Auberge Resorts Collection hires so many local residents – it is our pleasure to be able to support them, their families, and all families throughout Patrick County through such a worthy cause,” said Primland Vice President Steve Helms.
“We are so grateful for this very generous donation from Primland to the Patrick Promise,” said P&HCC President Dr. Greg Hodges, adding, “Support of this critical initiative will have a long-term impact on the citizens of Patrick County.”
Patrick Promise will extend support to provide free tuition to PCHS graduates attending Patrick & Henry Community College similar to The Harvest Foundation’s support for students in Martinsville and Henry County. To date, Patrick County Education Foundation (PCEF) has raised the resources needed to fully fund the first two years of the Patrick Promise. Once funds have been raised for year three, the Board plans to launch the program.
“Primland is a tremendous partner and we cannot be more grateful. Their continued investment inspires us all,” said Dr. Stewart Roberson, PCEF chair.
About Patrick Promise:
In support of PCEF’s goal, Patrick Promise will provide last dollar funds for Patrick County graduates to attend P&HCC FREE to the family for up to 2.5 years. Funds will currently support two of those 2.5 years. PCEF invites the community to participate so that all PCHS graduates can benefit from the same level of investment as their peers in Martinsville and Henry County.
