FX has revealed Sept. 25 as the premiere date for Ryan Murphy‘s new horror drama series Grotesquerie. The plot follows a detective and a nun— played respectively by Niecy Nash-Betts and Micaela Diamond — as they investigate “a series of heinous crimes” that “are eerily personal,” while dealing with their own personal problems. Together, they uncover “a sinister web that raises more questions than answers.” The cast also includes Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Raven Goodwin and Travis Kelce…

The Holdovers breakout star Dominic Sessa is in talks to portray celebrity chef and travel documentarian Anthony Bourdain in the biopic Tony, according to Variety. Bourdain died by suicide in 2018. The No Reservations and Parts Unknown host was previously the subject of the documentary Roadrunner, which premiered at the Tribeca Festival in 2021 …

Disney’s Frozen 3 will slide into theaters Nov. 24, 2027, the studio has confirmed. The original Frozen became a huge box office hit in 2013, grossing nearly $1.3 billion worldwide and earning two Academy Awards. The 2019 sequel did even better, earning $1.45 billion. Disney also announced that the Pixar movie Hoppers, a comedy about a young girl who uses technology to understand the inner thoughts of animals, will hit theaters March 6, 2026. Fitness guru Richard Simmons’ cause of death revealed

Fitness guru Richard Simmons‘ cause of death has been revealed.

A spokesperson for Simmons’ family, Tom Estey, provided a statement to ABC News on Wednesday confirming the death was accidental.

“This morning, Richard Simmons’ brother Lenny, received a call from the LA Coroner’s office,” began the statement. “The Coroner informed Lenny that Richard’s death was accidental due to complications from recent falls and heart disease as a contributing factor.”

The statement also said, “The toxicology report was negative,” besides the medication that was prescribed to Richard.

Richard died on July 13 at 76 years old.

“The Family wishes to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and support during this time of great loss,” the statement concluded.

Britney Spears biopic set from ‘Wicked’ director Jon M. Chu

Britney Spears‘ life is getting the musical biopic treatment.

Universal Pictures has won the rights to the pop superstar’s bestselling memoir, The Woman in Me. Wicked filmmaker Jon M. Chu is attached to direct the film, with producer Marc Platt developing.

Britney first shared news of a project in the works on her social media on Thursday.

“Excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt. He’s always made my favorite movies … stay tuned,” Britney wrote on the social platform X.

According to The Ankler, Universal Pictures landed the rights to The Woman in Me after a fierce bidding war. There was also interest from Shonda Rhimes, Brad Pitt‘s Plan B, Margot Robbie, Sony, Warner Brothers, Fox, Disney and Netflix. A source said the rights deal was eight figures and includes the rights to Britney’s musical catalog.

Singer Chappell Roan calls out ‘predatory’ fan behavior: ‘Please stop touching me’

(NEW YORK) — Singer Chappell Roan is calling out what she describes as “predatory” behavior from fans, asking them to respect her boundaries in public after delivering a similar message in videos last week.

The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer opened up in an Instagram post on Friday.

“I’ve been in too many nonconsensual physical and social interactions,” wrote Roan, whose debut album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” rose to meteoric popularity this year. “I chose this career path because I love music and art and honoring my inner child, I do not accept harassment of any kind because I chose this path, nor do I deserve it.”

Roan also highlighted the difference between when she is in “work mode” and when she is “clocked out.”

“I don’t agree with the notion that I owe a mutual exchange of energy, time, or attention to people I do not know, do not trust, or who creep me out-just because they’re expressing admiration,” she wrote. “Women do not owe you a reason why they don’t want to be touched or talked to.”

She went on, “I am specifically talking about predatory behavior (disguised as ‘superfan’ behavior) that has become normalized because of the way women who are well-known have been treated in the past.”

She argued that her fame does not mean she has to tolerate “creepy people, being touched, and being followed.”

“I want to love my life, be outside, giggle with my friends, go to the movie theater, feel safe, and do all the things every single person deserves to do. Please stop touching. me. Please stop being weird to my family. and friends,” Roan asked her more than 4 million Instagram followers.

“I feel more love than I ever have in my life. I feel the most unsafe I have ever felt in my life,” she wrote.

“There is a part of myself that is just for me, and I don’t want that taken away from me,” she wrote, before concluding her message by thanking those who read the note.

Last week, the singer addressed “weird” interactions she’s had with fans. Roan shared on TikTok that her comments weren’t directed at someone specific or a specific encounter, adding, “This is just my side of the story and my feelings.”
