A fallen tree caused a power outage at 4:36 p.m. on Easter Sunday in the Barrows Mill, Glendale, and Uptown District of Martinsville. Martinsville Utilities reported the power had been restored by 6 p.m. WHEE Radio’s studios are located Uptown and when the power was restored, a critical piece of equipment appears to have failed, causing us to be off the air. We expect to have a replacement part later this morning and hope to restore service. We apologize for the inconvenience.
