Obituaries

Kenneth Walker, Jr., 72, of Collinsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at SOVAH Health of Martinsville. He was born December 13, 1950, in South Carolina, to Alberta Perry Walker and the late Kenneth Walker, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Krista Elizabeth Walker; sister, Mary Ann Walker; and brothers, William Henry Walker and Theodore Walker.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, and was a member of Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Baptist Church. He was retired as a trackman from Amtrak. He was a high school graduate and enjoyed running track while in school. He enjoyed listening to music, chilling and relaxing.

Kenneth is survived by his mother; his daughters, Krista Walker, and Brittany Walker; sons, Kenneth Walker, III, and Kenny Isaiah Walker; sister, Elizabeth Walker (William Howard); brothers, Jimmie Walker (Trina), Franklin Walker (Joyce), Albert Willie Walker (Sabrina), and Joseph Walker (LeAnn); paternal grandparents, Wallace Walker and Ale Walker; as well as five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The Memorial Service will be Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
