Bill Murray, Jennifer Coolidge star in trailer for crime comedy ‘Riff Raff’
Bill Murray and Pete Davidson are famed gangsters in the official trailer for the crime comedy Riff Raff.
The film, which is being released by Grindstone Entertainment Group and Roadside Attractions, comes to theaters nationwide on Feb. 28.
The all-star cast of the film also includes Ed Harris, Jennifer Coolidge, Gabrielle Union, Lewis Pullman, Miles J. Harvey and Emanuela Postacchini.
Dito Montiel directed the film from a script by John Pollono.
Harris stars as Vincent, an ex-criminal who just wants a normal, peaceful life with his wife, Sandy (Union), and son DJ (Harvey).
While the family spends winter break in a cabin before DJ goes off to college, Vincent’s disowned son Rocco (Pullman), Rocco’s girlfriend Marina (Postacchini) and Vincent’s ex-wife Ruth (Coolidge) abruptly show up to spoil the fun by sending famed gangsters Leftie (Murray) and Lonnie (Davidson) out to get them.
“Once you start killing, it sort of becomes your de facto solution for every problem,” Murray’s Leftie says in the trailer.
“What?!” Coolidge’s Ruth exclaims in fear.
Riff Raff first premiered at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
Jimmy Kimmel delivered an emotional monologue during the Jan. 13 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! about the “nightmare” situation of the Southern California fires.
“As you know, it has been a very scary, very stressful, very strange week here in LA, where we work, where we live, where our kids go to school,” Kimmel said, getting choked up. “We are back at our studio, which we had to evacuate on Wednesday.”
Video footage then showed a fire close to the El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, where the talk show is filmed.
“Many of us had to leave our homes in a hurry. Some of our co-workers lost their homes,” Kimmel said. “It’s been terrible. It’s been terrible. Everyone who lives in the city knows someone, most of us multiple people — families, friends, colleagues, neighbors — whose houses burned down. And the truth is, we don’t even know if it’s over.”
Kimmel continued, “I think I speak for all of us when I say it has been a sickening, shocking, awful experience. But it has also been, in a lot of ways, a beautiful experience, because once again, we see our fellow men and women coming together to support each other. People who lost their own homes were out volunteering in parking lots helping others who lost theirs.”
The host then went on to thank all of the LA firefighters who were “the first on the scene.”
“Without hesitation, they were out there putting out the fires as best they could,” he said, also shouting out firefighters from other states — and countries — for lending a helping hand in the face of the tragedy.
“To our police, our National Guard, our rescue workers, the doctors, the nurses, EMTs, the pilots working 12-hour shifts, thank God for all of you,” Kimmel added. “I also want to thank our local news reporters who reminded us how important local television and radio and newspapers are.”
Kimmel was also critical of some remarks President-elect Donald Trump has made in the wake of the fires, saying he had spread “vile and irresponsible and stupid things … during our darkest and most terrifying hour.”
The Southern California fires began on Jan. 7 and have ravaged thousands of acres throughout the Los Angeles area.
At least 24 people have died, more than a dozen others remain unaccounted for and tens of thousands of people have been forced to evacuate amid multiple wildfires, which have been fueled by severe drought conditions and strong winds.

Among the night’s best dressed actresses were Zendaya, who wowed in a burnt orange strapless satin gown; Elle Fanning, in a nude gown with leopard accents on the bodice; Demi Moore, in a structured champagne-colored strapless dress; and Ariana Grande, who looked like she’d fit in on Bridgerton in her vintage Givenchy strapless gown.
And it wasn’t just a bunch of gowns on the red carpet. Keri Russell wore a white suit/dress combo, while Kate Winslet and The Bear’sAyo Edebiri wore suits.Melissa McCarthydonned a Barbie-pink jumpsuit with a huge matching cape.
There were also a lot of sequins and sparkle at the Globes, with actresses like Zoe Saldana, Kristen Bell, Felicity Jones, Viola Davis, Mindy Kaling and more shining on the red carpet. Even Timothée Chalamet embraced the trend, wearing a black suit that sparkled, which he paired with a blue tie that he wore like a scarf.
And Emma Stone made quite a statement on the red carpet, not just for her structured red dress, but for debuting a new pixie haircut.
There were also a lot of men making fashion statements, including Jeremy Strong, who certainly stood out in a green velvet suit with matching bucket hat; Eddie Redmayne, who wore a black-and-white checkered suit; Andrew Scott in a baby blue suit; and Colman Domingo, in a black suit with a polka-dot shirt and a checkered scarf/tie.
