We are getting our first look at Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen.
The Bear star will play The Boss in the upcoming movie Deliver Me From Nowhere, and 20th Century Studios has just released the first photo of White in character, wearing a flannel shirt and leather jacket.
Production is now underway on Deliver Me From Nowhere, based on author Warren Zanes’ book, which follows Springsteen as he makes his 1982 solo record Nebraska.
“Beginning production on this film is an incredibly humbling and thrilling journey,” said the film’s director Scott Cooper. “Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska has profoundly shaped my artistic vision. The album’s raw, unvarnished portrayal of life’s trials and resilience resonates deeply with me.”
He adds, “Our film aims to capture that same spirit, bringing Warren Zanes’ compelling narrative of Bruce’s life to the screen with authenticity and hope, honoring Bruce’s legacy in a transformative cinematic experience.”
Deliver Me From Nowhere also stars Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, Sir Stephen Graham, and Johnny Cannizzaro.
Timothée Chalamet made a surprise appearance at his own lookalike contest in New York City.
It was an unofficial event organized by his fans that was eventually disbanded by police.
A TikTok video shows the Oscar nominee walking through the crowd greeting contest attendees in Washington Square Park in Lower Manhattan.
His arrival was accompanied by cheers and screams from his fans.
“Just a typical sunday in new york city,” a user by the name of Sophie Mannes wrote in the TikTok caption, as she posted the video.
Chalamet was also seen taking a moment to pose for photos with his doppelgängers, some of whom had dressed up as his characters from Wonka and the Dune films for the lookalike contest, per images released by The Associated Press.
As the contestants began walking on a red carpet for the competition, the New York Police Department instructed the large crowd to disperse and issued organizers a $500 fine for holding an “unpermitted costume contest,” the AP reported, adding that the police arrested at least one contestant, with pending charges.
The organizers had promoted the event by posting flyers for the contest around the city, offering a $50 dollar prize to the winner, which led to social media buzz and thousands of online RSVPs.
Paige Nguyen, a producer for the YouTube personality Anthony Po, who hosted the event, told the AP, “It started off as a silly joke, and now it’s turned pandemonium.”
ABC News has reached out to the NYPD for comment but did not hear back immediately.

Venom: The Last Dance debuted with an estimated $51 million at the domestic box office — nearly $15 million below expectations.
The third and final chapter of the Venom trilogy, starring Tom Hardy as the titular alien symbiote, also opened much lower than its predecessors, 2018’s Venom and 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage, with $80 million and $90 million, respectively.
The news was much better overseas, where The Last Dance grabbed an estimated $124 million, bringing its global tally to a respectable $175 million.
Smile 2 finished in second place, earning an estimated $9.4 million at the North American box office, for a two-week total of $40.7 million and $83.7 million worldwide.
Third place was a dead heat between Conclave, the new mystery thriller starring Ralph Fiennes, and the animated adventure The Wild Robot, each earning an estimated $6.5 million. The Wild Robot, in its fifth week of release, has grossed $111.4 million domestically and $232.3 million globally.
We Live in Time took fourth place with an estimated $4.8 million, bringing its three-week North American tally to $11.8 million and $12.4 million worldwide.
Rounding out the top five was Terrifier 3, which delivered $4.3 million, bringing its three-week domestic total to $43.1 million. The film has collected $53 million globally.
Lindsay Lohan is bringing Christmas cheer once again in a new holiday film.
On Friday, the trailer for Our Little Secret, a new holiday rom-com, was released and features Lohan spending the holidays with her boyfriend’s family for the first time.
But once she arrives at his family’s home and meets his mother (Kristin Chenoweth), things take a turn when she discovers she’s also spending the holidays with her ex-boyfriend and almost fiancé Logan (Ian Harding), who is dating her new boyfriend’s sister.
The trailer shows Lohan and Harding getting into sticky situations as they navigate the holidays with their partners’ family and more.
Also starring in the film are Jon Rudnitsky, Chris Parnell, Dan Bucatinksy and Henry Czerny.As reported, Lohan’s Mean Girls co-star Tim Meadows will also star in the film.
The streaming platform announced the news of Our Little Secret in January. The project is also part of Lohan’s two-picture creative partnership with Netflix.
Previously, Lohan starred in the Netflix rom-com Falling for Christmas in November 2022 alongside Chord Overstreet. She also starred in Irish Wish, which was released in March.
Our Little Secret will be available to stream on Nov. 27.
Sony Pictures has quietly added a fourth Spider-Man film to its updated release schedule: It will swing into theaters July 24, 2026, ABC Audio has confirmed.
While the movie that will star Tom Holland as the web-slinging hero doesn’t have an official title, its director was confirmed to be Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton.
The Spider-Man films starring Holland are a co-production between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, which is owned by ABC News’ parent company, Disney.
On the promotional circuit for his new nonalcoholic beer brand BERO, Holland confirmed to Good Morning America he’s read the script.
“The idea is crazy,” he teased. “It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before, but I think the fans are gonna really respond to it.”
The last in Holland’s trilogy, 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, also starred Holland’s girlfriend, Zendaya, as M.J., Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, as well as heroes and villains from Spidey movies past, including Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx as Maxwell Dillon/Electro and Alfred Molina as Dr. Otto Octavius/Doc Ock.
The film was a smash, making $1.95 billion at the box office, the seventh-highest-grossing movie of all time.
Netflix feels it has found treasure with Lara Croft.
The streamer debuted Tomb Raider: The Legend Of Lara Croft on Oct. 10, and on Friday it announced the series, which features the voice of Marvel movie veteran Hayley Atwell as the titular adventurer, will be getting a second season.
While season 1 of the anime was more of an origin story, Netflix’s Tudum blog says, “Season 2 looks to advance her character from somewhat of a rookie to her journey to becoming the icon we know today.”
The streamer teases of the sophomore frame, “[W]hen adventurer Lara Croft discovers a trail of stolen African Orisha masks, she joins forces with her best friend Sam to retrieve the precious artifacts.”
Netflix continues, “Lara’s thrilling new adventure takes her around the globe as she delves deeper into the hidden secrets of Orisha history, dodges the machinations of a dangerous and enigmatic billionaire who wants the masks for herself, while discovering these relics contain dark secrets and a power that defies logic. Power that may, in fact, be divine.”
Writer and executive producer Tasha Huo explains, “Season 1, thematically, is about Lara embracing how her dad dealt with grief, which was isolating,” adding, “As we get into Season 2, we’re trying to build Lara’s team over the course of the show, so she goes from isolated hero, who only wants to do things on her own — a lone wolf — to realizing, ‘Actually, I have this really cool team behind me.'”
The video game heroine was previously brought to the big screen in 2001 and 2003 with Angelina Jolie in the title role. In 2018, Tomb Raider was rebooted successfully with Alicia Vikander in the lead.
The reviews for Venom: The Last Dancehaven’t been kind, but the threequel starring Tom Hardy and his gooey alien sidekick scared up a respectable $8.5 million in Thursday sneak peeks in the U.S., according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The trade reports that while the movie is expected to end the weekend with lower stateside box office receipts than scored by the 2018 original and its 2021 sequel, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, The Last Dance is already roaring overseas, which will help its overall bottom line.
THR says the movie is expected to earn $180 million globally over the weekend, which would be 5% higher than Carnage; it’s already made $14.7 million from China alone.
A New Mexico judge has declined to reconsider criminal charges against Alec Baldwin over the fatal shooting on the set of Rust in October 2021.
“Because the State’s Amended Motion raises arguments previously made, and arguments that the State elected not to raise earlier, the Court does not find the Amended Motion well taken,” the decision said.
The court dismissed the state’s application to reinstate involuntary manslaughter charges that were thrown out in July after it was learned during trial that prosecutors withheld evidence from the defense, namely ammunition brought to the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office.
Baldwin’s attorneys claimed live ammunition that came into the hands of local law enforcement related to the investigation was “concealed” from them.
The judge in the trial, Mary Marlowe Sommer, said the state’s discovery violation regarding the late disclosure of a supplemental report on the ammunition evidence “injected needless delay into the proceedings,” approached “bad faith” and was “highly prejudicial to the defendant.”
Marlowe Sommer also issued the new ruling on Friday saying the charges would not be reconsidered for Baldwin.
“State does not raise any factual or legal arguments that would justify the grant of a motion to reconsider,” she wrote in the opinion.
Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed on Oct. 21, 2021, when she was shot by Baldwin while he was practicing using a Colt .45 revolver. The prop gun, which Baldwin believed to contain dummy rounds, actually had a live round of ammunition in it. Director Joel Souza was also struck in the shooting, but recovered from his injuries.
Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in connection with Hutchins’ death in March. Prosecutors argued during the trial she was the source of the live bullet and had failed to follow safety protocols meant to protect the crew while handling the firearms.
Gutierrez is currently serving an 18-month prison sentence, the maximum for the offense.
Last month, Marlowe Sommer denied a motion from Gutierrez’s attorneys arguing she was entitled to a new trial or dismissal of the case for “egregious prosecutorial misconduct” and “severe and ongoing discovery violations by the State,” related to the same evidence that resulted in Baldwin’s trial being dismissed.
Marlowe Sommer also denied a separate motion from the defense seeking immediate release from detention.
The judge ruled the issues raised by the defense did not justify a new trial or dismissal, and that the state did not suppress the ammunition evidence in Gutierrez’s trial that was at the heart of Baldwin’s dismissal.
